LONNY BEREAL Shoots Video For "FAVOR" feat. Kelly Rowland

"Acoustic Love" Reviewed On THISISREALMUSIC.com

3.5
The journey of love has its highs and lows and Joonie, the Southern bred and Seattle raised multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter showcases love's varied spectrum with a simple approach-honest lyricism and skilled musicianship-on his debut album, Acoustic LoveAcoustic Love is an intriguing R&B collection of emotive tracks that showcase the vulnerability of man about love. In this musical landscape, the vulnerability of a man is rare and even rarer is the ability of an artist to expose their feelings so candidly without sounding sappy. Even in the throws of an undeserving woman, Joonie manages to make unrequited love sound blissful and melodic on "Delilah". "Acoustic Love" shines most where Joonie is so stripped down his vulnerability is unapologetic and honest. "Love You More" features Joonie's smooth voice and lovely background vocals which is so direct that the listener will feel like the crooner is performing only for them. Even more so, "Just The Way You Are" is a love letter penned to a soft piano accompaniment. Acoustic Love mixes soft ballads with contemporary R&B songs however, the cocky "Fresh (My Team)" and pop-synth "Stalker" seem out of place in Joonie's introspective feelings on love. Overall, the album is a refreshing oasis in the desert of songs favoring lust over love. While most want to shout it a rooftop, Joonie shows love does not have to be loud and brash to be heard. Fall in...Acoustic Love.
